"kome-kami", rice paper in Japanese, is a product of various types of upcycled rice. Rice that is not suitable for consumption, such as expired rice, alpha rice used for stockpiling, crushed rice generated by manufacturers, and rice that cannot be used for food at home or during distribution. These types of rice are transformed into paper material through the process of upcycling.
Through kome-kami, we hope to introduce the culture of "Mottainai 勿体無い". A Japanese virtue of preventing waste and being creative about transforming waste into something practical.
